Native Americans

Garrison Diversion, with the aid of the Indian Nations of North Dakota, passed the Dakota Water Resources Act. This legislation included $200 million in federal authorization to meet the needs of the four Native American Reservations in North Dakota. This funding will help protect the health and environment of North Dakota's Indian Nations.

Each of the reservations in the state have placed priorities on delivering and treating water for their citizens. Efforts will be made by Garrison Diversion to continue the funding to meet the immediate and long-term needs, both on and off North Dakota reservations.
